Freediving with Manta's
Freedive with these beautiful gentle giants of the ocean. Often confused with the Stingray these winged Manta’s are actually completely harmless. This is a trip by boat to the famous three sister islands – Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Ceningan. These are three dry limestone islands about 20 km off the South East coast of Bali, reached by fast-boat in a 30 minute journey from Sanur. Once there we go to the venture up the coast. Highlights: Further than most other dive sites in Bali. Not only mantas, but frequent Nurse Shark sightings and lots of soft corals. You need to be flexible because its exposed location means that sometimes the conditions are too rough for the boat to make it down there, and on arrival giant swells can make diving impossible. But if conditions are good & the Mantas arrive it is well worth the extra effort to get there. Above water sheer cliffs are a dramatic sight.

However, due to the fact that these are creatures of the wild and free to roam where they please we cannot guarantee there will be Mantas present. Please ask to find out about the most recent manta trip so you can make an informed decision.
For our freediving courses, we offer an optional freediving-specific license from the Molchanov Freediving Agency. For a Molchanov certification, we charge an additional 500k IDR, which can be paid at the end of your course.
Molchanov is a Russian freediving system that was launched in 2010 by one of the freediving world record holders, Alexey Molchanov. Being a member of this freediving agency has perks, such as access to its base training app, which includes weekly training and stretching routines specific to freedivers. It also provides access to its freediving forum with thousands of other active freedivers.
